“Louie has taken the challenge of growing and developing the social medial platform for our sports medicine service line. He introduced new concepts and strategies carefully and with patient explanation to decision makers who are unfamiliar with this technology and not always comfortable with it. He started small, gained the confidence of our team and gradually increased our reach. I say this because he has the ability to read people, get them out of their comfort zone and achieve the strategic vision. These are great qualities that will serve him well in any endeavor.

“Louie Novak is the type of person everyone wants as part of their team. Here at The University of Kansas Health System, I work very closely with Louie and have personally experienced how he has guided our efforts within The Center for Concussion Management, taking a diagnosis often met with heavy criticism in the media, and turning it into a shining star for our organization.

Often you find something is lacking in your organization, but can’t pinpoint what exactly that “something” is. My experience with Louie is that he is just that -that missing “something.” Louie came on board strong and created a role out of a framework of ideas. He has integrated himself so well and so quickly, that it’s not difficult to notice his contributions, yet, at the same time he always manages to maintain a positive attitude, approach, and candor, which are always welcome. He has demonstrated his ability to learn and delve into difficult topics with ease, such as successfully putting a positive spin on what can be unsettling for others when they hear the word “concussion.”
His ability to develop and share content to increase concussion awareness across multiple platforms has been great for growing awareness in a positive fashion.
